A week ago, Victoria asked if I would be willing to take a simple headshot for their newspaper announcement, and we agreed on Central Park. It was raining on the day we had decided on, but they were willing to meet rain or shine. I was nervous about my mobility in the rain, so I invited Jonathan Young to join me and hold an umbrella. (BTW-Thanks Jonathan!) When Jonathan and I arrived, the rain had stopped and the colors were incredibly vibrant, so we both excitedly decided to shoot.
I'm sure that Victoria and Julio were more than surprised and maybe a little confused to find 2 photographers with a collective total of 5 camera bodies around our necks. The project turned very spontaneously from one headshot into an entire engagement session!
Victoria and Julio will be married this July at St. Jean Baptiste, with a reception at the Harold Pratt House. We intend to visit Central Park again for their wedding photos.
